What this opportunity is
This is a structured artisan learnership designed to develop boilermaking capability through workplace exposure and guided training in an industrial mining/refining environment. The programme is intended to build the skills and workplace competence required to progress toward a recognised trade test outcome.
What you’ll do / learn
You’ll receive structured on-the-job training and practical exposure that supports your development as a boilermaking artisan, including fabrication, maintenance and repair work aligned to the programme scope.
- Receive structured on-the-job training in a real industrial environment
- Build a foundation in fabrication, maintenance and repair practices
- Gain exposure to structural steel fabrication and installation
- Support maintenance and repair of plant equipment
- Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings

Eligibility requirements
- Completed N2 or NCV Level 4 Certificate in Boilermaking
- N2 subjects must include Mathematics, Engineering Science, Structural Steel Drawing, and Plater Trade Theory
- Basic understanding of boilermaking trade principles
- Medical fitness to work at both BMR and PMR plants
