What this opportunity is

This is a structured artisan learnership designed to develop boilermaking capability through workplace exposure and guided training in an industrial mining/refining environment. The programme is intended to build the skills and workplace competence required to progress toward a recognised trade test outcome.

What you’ll do / learn

You’ll receive structured on-the-job training and practical exposure that supports your development as a boilermaking artisan, including fabrication, maintenance and repair work aligned to the programme scope.

  • Receive structured on-the-job training in a real industrial environment
  • Build a foundation in fabrication, maintenance and repair practices
  • Gain exposure to structural steel fabrication and installation
  • Support maintenance and repair of plant equipment
  • Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Work safely and efficiently in a production-driven environment

Eligibility requirements

  • Completed N2 or NCV Level 4 Certificate in Boilermaking
  • N2 subjects must include Mathematics, Engineering Science, Structural Steel Drawing, and Plater Trade Theory
  • Basic understanding of boilermaking trade principles
  • Medical fitness to work at both BMR and PMR plants
