What this opportunity is
This is a permanent production support role where you’ll perform general operational duties to help keep production running efficiently. The role supports the production team across specific production areas and includes practical tasks such as handling products, shrink-wrapping, sorting damaged products, loading, cleaning and general duties.
What you’ll do / learn
You’ll assist with daily production-floor tasks while following standard operating procedures, safety requirements and housekeeping standards.
- Perform basic/general operational tasks in support of the production team
- Complete tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Handle products (including loading and sorting tasks as required)
- Support shrink-wrapping and sorting of damaged products where required
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness standards in the work area
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations
- Complete ad-hoc tasks as required by management
Note: This is a permanent job vacancy and not a learnership. Appointment depends on the employer’s recruitment process.
Eligibility requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF 4)
- Business English: fluent
- Able to work in extreme conditions
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Able to pass readiness assessments
