This role focuses on delivering customer service at the point of sale while also supporting merchandising and general housekeeping in store. What you’ll do / learn
You’ll build practical retail experience across customer service, POS operations, clubcard support, merchandising, and store housekeeping while working in a customer-facing environment.
- Execute operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise and collecting payment for goods purchased
- Action clubcard rewards correctly
- Ensure the safe handling of cash at all times
- Promote the Clicks clubcard and enrol new clubcard members to help achieve participation targets
- Make customers aware of promotions to support sales and value messaging
- Deliver customer service by acting as a brand ambassador and offering friendly, professional service
- Execute and maintain merchandising and general housekeeping duties according to store and visual merchandise standards
- Maintain updated knowledge on products, ranges, promotions, and events
- Support the company’s customer-first retail approach by living the business values

- Essential education: Grade 12
- Desirable education: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level
- Desirable experience: Experience in a customer-facing role within a retail / FMCG store operations environment
