Brights Hardware is recruiting a permanent Cashier for its Frontline Department in Langebaan, Western Cape. The role combines customer service with accurate till transactions, cash handling, daily cash-ups and support for loyalty and gift-card services. What you will do

• Greet customers as they enter the store and provide efficient service at the frontline tills.
• Follow cash-up procedures, check cash received, process EFT payments and ring up sales accurately and efficiently.
• Pack purchased items into shopping bags and hand cash drops to a supervisor for security.
• Complete daily cash-ups and remain alert to suspicious-looking customers.
• Know which products are on promotion and issue gift cards, check customers’ reward cards and cash in points.
• Keep the work area tidy, participate in perpetual stocktakes and carry out other related tasks delegated by a supervisor.

Minimum application requirements

• Have Matric or an equivalent qualification.

• Be able to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision, with strong organisation, attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Be willing to work flexible hours and holidays to meet business needs.
