What this opportunity is
This is an in-store pharmacy retail support role focused on helping customers, processing payments accurately, keeping product displays and pricing correct, and maintaining a clean, organised sales floor. The position also includes basic loss-prevention awareness and handling customer queries or refunds according to store procedures.
What you’ll do / learn
You’ll build practical retail experience in a pharmacy retail setting, including point-of-sale processing, merchandising standards, and customer service routines.
- Handle payments and balance sales and receipts according to procedure
- Process customer payments using the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Maintain product knowledge and recommend products that meet customer needs
- Restock items and organise the sales floor according to operating procedures
- Conduct price audits and help correct price discrepancies
- Stay up to date on promotions and special offers
- Maintain visual merchandising standards
- Conduct proper housekeeping
- Handle customer queries promptly and escalate when needed

Eligibility requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- At least 5 months point-of-sale / till point experience in a retail environment
- Proven retail sales experience
- Computer literate
- Bilingual preferred (Afrikaans and English)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Solid customer service skills and effective communication
