Key Responsibilities
- Comply with company and statutory hygiene, cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
- Assist with meal preparation (e.g., salads and desserts).
- Place and replenish entrées, salads, desserts, and other items on the serving line; keep the area clean and stocked.
- Record and store food leftovers in line with procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of canteen tables, kitchen, and service areas.
- Provide a high level of customer service; respond to complaints/compliments and escalate where necessary.
- Count and hand over stock to the next shift where applicable.
- Attend meetings and training; perform related duties as assigned.
Attributes Required
- Enjoy practical, methodical work; honest and reliable.
- Good hand–eye coordination; able to work quickly and safely.
- Good personal hygiene; free from food/detergent skin allergies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Stamina to work 45–50 hours per week; physically able to bend, stand, and lift.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum age 18.
- Matric / Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow hygiene and safety procedures.
