What you’ll do / learn

Sign on and prepare for duty

• Sign on for duty at the designated workplace.
• Receive duties to be completed during the shift.
• Determine which locomotive must be prepared.
• Obtain and place the prescribed equipment on the locomotive.
• Check and supplement the required locomotive equipment.
• Clean and prepare the working area.
• Assist with starting locomotives.

Prepare communication equipment
