What this opportunity is
This is an entry-level automotive apprenticeship designed for candidates who want to learn a trade and develop into a qualified vehicle technician. You’ll work in a dealership workshop environment while supporting qualified technicians and completing prescribed training as part of your development pathway.
What you’ll do / learn
You’ll build practical workshop experience under supervision, learn how jobs are planned and recorded, and attend training sessions that support your development as a vehicle technician.
- Assist a qualified technician with servicing and repairs to vehicles
- Learn how to accurately clock times on jobs
- Confirm you understand repair order instructions before work begins
- Learn how to plan a job and identify parts that must be ordered
- Attend prescribed training as part of the apprenticeship

Eligibility requirements
- Must reside in Vredenburg or surrounding areas
- Grade 12 (Matric), with Mathematics and Science as subjects
- Automotive subject is advantageous
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Interest in motor vehicles and mechanical/technical work
- Good timekeeping and ability to work under pressure
- Good verbal communication skills (training is mainly in English)
