Main duties
- Care for tools and materials, clean equipment and maintain housekeeping.
- Erect scaffolding and ladders when needed.
- Assist with drilling, grinding, holding, supporting, pushing and pulling within limits.
- Prepare and paint equipment, and dig when required.
Requirements and advantages
The educational requirement is Grade 12 or N3 Mechanical Engineering. Applicants need basic safety and tool knowledge, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, punctuality, self-discipline, attention to detail and a customer focus.
A Mechanical Engineering diploma, degree or equivalent is advantageous, as is a Code 8 or 10 driver’s licence.
