What you’ll do / learn

  • Set up processing equipment before production begins.
  • Operate, monitor and control process equipment, excluding packaging equipment.
  • Help convert raw materials into finished products efficiently.
  • Make sure products meet quality, cost and service specifications.
  • Monitor production performance and equipment uptime.
  • Identify waste and inefficiencies in the production process.
  • Suggest improvements that may increase yield and efficiency.
  • Assist with fault-finding and problem-solving activities.
  • Support maximum line efficiency and equipment availability.
  • Maintain housekeeping and food safety standards.
  • Help maintain AIB and CRP compliance requirements.
  • Check that equipment remains in good working order.
  • Report breakdowns, required maintenance and worn components to the Process Technician.
  • Follow safe operating practices to prevent accidents.
  • Support the site Environmental Management System and ISO 14001 conformance.

  • Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
  • A related tertiary qualification.
