What you’ll do / learn

The successful applicant will support vehicle repairs, diagnostics and workshop service activities.

  • Carry out fault diagnosis to help speed up vehicle servicing.
  • Use diagnostic equipment during vehicle examinations.
  • Follow DCSA procedures and policies during repairs.
  • Keep required diagnostic printouts and repair records.
  • Diagnose faults accurately to support customer satisfaction.
  • Discuss service matters with Service Advisors when required.
  • Cooperate in vehicle care and safety while working on vehicles.
  • Help limit comebacks by supporting quality repair work.
  • Attend breakdown calls when required.
  • Return vehicles to customers in a neat and clean condition after service.
  • Sign for parts at the parts department and use them on the correct vehicles.
  • Return unused parts to the parts department.
  • Support cost-effective and accurate fault remedies.
  • Provide fault finding and systems diagnostic support for motor vehicles.
  • Complete forms and documentation required in the company’s service routine.
  • Draft and prepare reports when required.
  • Participate in special promotional campaigns when required.
  • Keep overalls and the work area clean and tidy.
  • Complete job cards in full and hand them to the Service Advisor once repairs are done.
  • Ensure repair clocking is carried out correctly.
  • Attend training courses provided by Daimler and Cargo Motors.
  • Assist with other reasonable duties when required.
