What this role really means
A graduate marketing role like this usually sits in the space between strategy and execution. In practice, that means you are not only thinking about the brand, but also helping make things happen: tracking timelines, preparing reports, checking campaign materials, following up with agencies, and making sure brand activity runs on time. If you are applying, it helps to show both creative awareness and organised execution on your CV, because FMCG brand teams often need graduates who can think clearly and follow through consistently.

Quick tips for this application
- Move any brand, campaign, social media, research, or reporting experience near the top of your CV
- If you have worked on university marketing projects, name the campaigns or assignments clearly instead of writing only “group project”
- Show that you can work with both numbers and creative work by mentioning dashboards, presentations, content, or market analysis
- If you know tools or data sources linked to digital marketing or reporting, mention them clearly
- Keep your CV focused on organisation, consumer understanding, and execution ability rather than generic admin wording
Mistakes to avoid
- Submitting a CV that says “marketing” but gives no examples of campaign, content, or reporting work
- Focusing only on creativity and leaving out analytical or project support strengths
- Using a generic graduate CV that could apply to any role instead of showing interest in brands and consumer marketing
- Leaving out internship, academic, or project work that proves you can coordinate tasks and meet deadlines
- Uploading incomplete or unclear supporting documents
