Dis-Chem – Casual Merchandiser

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting a Casual Merchandiser for its La Lucia store.

At a glance

Main duties

• Replenish shelves, rotate stock and check expiry dates.
• Maintain tidy displays, accurate prices and product labels.
• Report stock problems; assist with stocktaking, loading and unloading.
• Help customers and follow store safety procedures.

Minimum requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Retail experience: “up to 6 months”, as worded in the advert.
• MS Office literacy and availability for retail hours.
• Strong English, good communication, honesty, professional presentation and time management.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes safely.
• Reliable transport and/or residence near the store.
• South African citizenship; clear credit and criminal records.

Advantageous: At least one year’s retail experience, bilingualism, merchandising/FMCG knowledge, product knowledge and ZMORE reporting skills.
