Who can apply?

You must have completed Grade 12 with Mathematics or Accounting, be out of work, not be enrolled in any studies, and be available to start in January 2027. The advert does not specify a minimum subject mark, an age range or previous debt collection experience. iMasFinance encourages applications from people with disabilities.

Two questions to expect: The online form asks whether you have completed a learnership before and whether you live in Centurion, Pretoria or within 40 km of either. Answer both accurately. The advert does not say that a previous learnership automatically disqualifies you.

What you will learn

  • Speak to members whose payments are overdue, agree on payment commitments and keep a record of the conversation.
  • Respond to collection queries and correspondence, update account records and report on progress.
  • Help with the paperwork for repossessions and legal handovers, working with valuators, tracers, sheriffs and lien holders.
  • Assist attorneys and debt collectors with the accounts they manage and the payments they process.

Documents and application tips

Prepare your CV, a copy of your ID, a copy of your Matric certificate and copies of any other relevant certificates. Check that your Matric subjects and results are legible.
