What you’ll do / learn

The successful applicant will support cinema operations and customer service across different cinema functions.

  • Work as a cashier at box office sales, catering sales or collections.
  • Assist as a cinema assistant, waiter, popper or in another cinema function when requested by a supervisor.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ster-Kinekor products and promotional activities.
  • Upsell suitable products and offers to guests.
  • Ensure presentation standards are followed.
  • Make sure age restrictions, synopsis files, posters, food and beverage displays, product displays and disclaimers are updated and visible.
  • Prepare popcorn, slush and related products according to quality standards.
  • Assist with shift preparation where required.
  • Manage product quality so the guest experience is not compromised.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, kitchen equipment, counter areas and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure storerooms remain within required standards.
  • Ensure prepared products are sealed, packaged and stored correctly.
  • Submit health and safety reports according to required schedules.
  • Follow correct uniform and preparation standards for safety.
  • Conduct yourself professionally as a Ster-Kinekor employee.

Eligibility requirements

Minimum qualification

  • Matric.

Experience and knowledge

  • 0–1 years’ work experience in a similar role.
  • Basic MS Office Suite knowledge.
  • VISTA / MYCC knowledge will be advantageous.
