What you’ll do / learn
You’ll gain practical exposure to lecture venue support, user troubleshooting, software administration, hardware setup, and ICT operations in an education environment.
- Provide first-line support for computer and lecture venues
- Help ensure the operational state and neatness of computer and lecture venues
- Carry out daily checks on copiers, printers, motorised screens, and projectors
- Help ensure the operational state of wireless infrastructure
- Assist users with calls relating to desktops and laptops
- Assist users with calls relating to photocopiers and printers
- Install desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices
- Set up projectors for classrooms
- Install relevant software for users and help keep software updated
- Assist users with software-related calls such as Microsoft Office queries
- Support software licensing administration
- Ensure calls are logged with the Service Desk
- Assist with admin tasks and asset register updates, including asset disposal and transfer
- Prepare and analyse photocopier and telephone reports
- Maintain neatness in the Server Room, ICT Office, and ICT Storeroom
- Manage the ICT equipment sign-out and sign-in process
- Shadow Senior ICT and ICT Support staff for development
- Assess and troubleshoot problems on servers
