This is an unemployed engineering learnership intake for an Instrument Mechanician stream, designed to build practical trade skills through structured training and real workplace exposure in a mining processing environment. Successful completion leads toward a nationally recognised artisan qualification.

What you’ll do / learn

You’ll complete structured training and workplace learning that builds core instrument/measuring-control capability, with practical exposure and assessments aligned to an artisan outcome.

• Complete off-the-job learning and scheduled workplace training
• Build practical exposure in an engineering environment linked to processing operations
• Work toward competence required for an artisan trade qualification

Eligibility requirements

Make sure you meet the minimum entry requirements below before applying:

• Option A: Matric with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy), Physical Science, and English (minimum 40% in each), OR
• Option B: N2 or higher with the required subjects for the discipline, OR
• Option C: NCV Level 4 in an appropriate trade (minimum 40% pass in all subjects)
• For Instrument Mechanician (N2 route): Instrument Trade Theory or Industrial Instrument, Industrial Electronics, Mathematics, and Engineering Science
