What this opportunity is

This is a structured, work-based learning programme that combines accredited theoretical training with practical workplace experience, leading to a registered qualification in long-term insurance. The programme is hosted by AVBOB in partnership with INSETA and runs for 12 months.

What you’ll do / learn

You’ll complete structured insurance-related learning through an accredited training provider and gain workplace exposure through practical experience in an AVBOB environment, building work readiness and industry capability over the 12-month programme.

Note: This is a learnership and does not guarantee permanent employment unless the employer confirms otherwise. Placement may be determined by the company during the programme.

Eligibility requirements

  • Must be willing to work in AVBOB offices in the applicable provinces/branches
  • Valid Matric certificate
  • Matric subjects must include English and Maths / Maths Literacy / Accounting
  • Age: 18–35
  • No previous learnerships attended
  • Must not be registered with another academic institution or engaged in other studies
  • Reliable transportation
  • Smartphone or laptop is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer skills (MS Office, email and internet) are an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative
  • Must be a South African citizen
