What this opportunity is

A support role assisting the truck operator and site team with product handling, safe site preparation and housekeeping tasks in a blasting environment (as stated).

What you’ll do / learn

  • Assist with site preparation and safe-work requirements before entering work areas (as stated)
  • Support charging blast holes and related product handling under instruction (as stated)
  • Help with barricading/marking off work areas and basic checks (as stated)
  • Maintain housekeeping and assist with basic maintenance tasks (as stated)

Eligibility requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics (as stated)
  • Experience: advert lists 1 year experience in blasting/mining and blasting assistant experience as essential (as stated)
  • Advantage: Code B or EC licence (as stated)
  • Advantage: Competent A & blasting assistant certificate (MQA) (as stated)
