Note: This is not a general office internship. It is much more analytical and operations-focused, so it may suit a student who is comfortable with data, structured problem-solving, and working across teams to improve how the business operates.

What this role really means

An operations internship at a company like Uber usually means working on live business problems rather than only shadowing a team. In practice, that can involve pulling insights from data, testing ideas, helping teams make decisions, and thinking about how pricing, demand, customer behaviour, and marketplace performance connect. If you are applying, it helps to show that you can think logically, work with numbers, and explain your ideas clearly.
