TFG is recruiting a YES Intern: Buyer (Youth Development) in the Western Cape. This full-time internship provides practical exposure to retail buying processes, including buying administration, trend research, sales analysis, and supporting product selection alongside the Buying and Planning teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support buying administration, including order creation, amendments, and general buying admin.
• Assist with sample management and coordination of products for marketing photoshoots.
• Research emerging styles and trends to support future buying decisions.
• Support the buying team with selection and curation of future product ranges.
• Analyse sales data and customer feedback to inform buying recommendations.
• Share insights and ideas to improve and elevate product ranges.
• Collaborate with the Planning team to gain insights and contribute to product selection decisions.

• Strong analytical and research capability.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in administrative work.
• Proactive, learning-oriented mindset with an interest in retail buying.
• Clear interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills.
• Confident working with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable using new technology to improve productivity.
• Professional behaviours aligned to ethical conduct, standards, continuous improvement, perseverance, entrepreneurial thinking, and structured planning.

Eligibility Criteria

• Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion, Retail Business Management, or a related field.
• Keen interest in pursuing a career as a Retail Buyer.
• Preference may be given (but not limited) to candidates from designated groups in line with the Employment Equity Act.
