What this role really means
A buyer internship like this usually means learning how products move from trend ideas and customer demand into actual retail ranges. In practice, that can include checking samples, helping manage orders, working with planners and marketers, and using sales information to support future buying choices. If you are applying, it helps to show that you are commercially curious, organised, and genuinely interested in product selection rather than only saying you like fashion or shopping.
