What you’ll do / learn

The apprentice will assist with vehicle repairs and workshop tasks under the guidance of a Technician.

  • Assist with the repair of vehicles under the instructions of a Technician.
  • Remove and replace parts and units from vehicles.
  • Jack up vehicles and place trestles safely.
  • Lubricate and change oils under supervision according to manual specifications.
  • Remove and replace wheels.
  • Remove and fit air filters and oil filters.
  • Assist with vehicle repairs.
  • Remove and fit batteries.
  • Clean parts and support workshop housekeeping.
  • Attend prescribed technical and level courses.
  • Perform other reasonable duties when required.
  • Keep tools and equipment clean and in good order.
  • Keep overalls and the work area clean.
  • Follow safety rules in the workshop.
