Main duties

  • Oversee daily cash-ups and cash-related activities.
  • Complete petty-cash reconciliations.
  • Manage refunds, floats and safe-control processes.
  • Review customer credit contracts and supporting documents.
  • Follow up on credit approvals and outstanding documentation.
  • Monitor and authorise financial transactions.
  • Maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
  • File, store and archive banking, credit, invoice and statutory documents.
  • Investigate customer queries involving payments, refunds and credit agreements.
  • Perform quality checks on administrative processes and documents.
  • Prepare records and reports for branch audits.
  • Support and train Admin Clerks and sales employees.
  • Help employees understand administration and National Credit Act requirements.
  • Order and manage office stationery and consumables.
  • Maintain an organised and compliant administration environment.

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Administrative, finance, credit-control or retail experience.
  • Knowledge of cash handling and reconciliation processes.
  • Knowledge of financial controls.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Ability to use relevant business systems.
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Good communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to supervise, coach and support team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Experience in a furniture, retail or credit environment is preferred. Knowledge of credit administration and National Credit Act requirements will be advantageous.
