What the role involves
- Replenish shelves, rotate products and check expiry dates.
- Check prices and displays, and keep the storeroom tidy.
- Handle purchases, payments, loyalty cards and authorised returns.
- Assist customers and refer complaints or stock queries appropriately.
- Support stock counts, loading and offloading.
- Follow cash-control, loss-prevention, housekeeping and safety procedures.
Minimum requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 or a Senior Certificate.
- The advert lists 0–6 months of retail experience.
- South African citizenship and availability for retail hours.
- A driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
- No criminal record and a clear credit rating; MIE screening is listed.
Applicants also need basic arithmetic, retail administration, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow procedures and work responsibly.
Advantageous: One year of retail experience, a Retail Business Management certificate, and basic Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP skills.
