Dis-Chem Pharmacies is accepting applications for its Casual Merchandiser talent pool at The Verge in Edenvale, Gauteng.

Minimum requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Retail experience: the advert specifies “up to 6 months”.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Availability for retail hours.
• South African citizenship.
• Clear credit and criminal records.
• Ability to lift and move heavy boxes safely.
• Reliable transport and/or residence near the store.
• Strong English, customer communication, honesty and time-management skills.

Advantageous: At least one year’s retail experience, bilingual ability, merchandising and FMCG knowledge, product knowledge and ZMORE report skills.

Main duties

• Replenish shelves and rotate stock using FIFO.
• Check expiry dates, prices, labels and displays.
• Report stock problems and support stocktaking.
• Assist customers, handle deliveries and maintain tidy work areas.
• Follow store procedures and safety standards.
