Brights Hardware is recruiting a permanent General Assistant for its Drive Thru Yard Department in Blackheath, Western Cape. The work includes loading vehicles and trucks, handling and counting stock, helping customers and keeping the yard tidy. Matric or an equivalent qualification is required; one year of similar experience is preferred, not compulsory.

What you will do

• Load customers’ vehicles, delivery trucks and transfer trucks promptly and accurately.
• Stack and count stock properly, and report stock shortages and breakages.
• Help pull stock for transfers and take part in perpetual stocktakes.
• Assist customers with service and product knowledge, including delivery and transfer drivers.
• Bag stone and sand.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy by sweeping and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Carry out other work-related tasks delegated by a superior.
