What you’ll do / learn
The successful applicant will support telesales, customer service and order-processing functions.
- Assist clients telephonically and electronically through chat and email.
- Take customer orders and capture them accurately on the system.

- Promote and sell products or campaigns to clients.
- Support customer retention through relationship building.
- Cross-sell and upsell products where appropriate.

- Maintain a 95% service level.
- Meet inbound call targets.
- Respond quickly to online clients through chat and email channels.
- Log customer queries and complaints accurately using the relevant systems.
- Follow Shoprite customer service principles and standard operating procedures.
- Conform to quality assurance guidelines.
- Aim to achieve a quality score of at least 80%.
- Maintain quality and accuracy when providing information or completing tasks.

Essential qualification
- Matric / Grade 12.
Experience requirements
- Minimum 6 months inbound call centre experience.
- Minimum 6 months outbound call centre experience.
- Experience in client retention and sales will be advantageous.
Advantageous qualification
- Call centre certification.
- Higher learning certificate or diploma.
Knowledge and skills
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and deliver good customer service over the phone.
- Good telephone etiquette.
- Computer literacy, including MS Office, call centre software and CRM systems.
