What you’ll do / learn

You’ll gain practical exposure to payroll administration, employee file maintenance, leave monitoring, payroll queries, and month-end support processes.

  • Process payroll source documents onto the payroll system
  • Support fortnight payroll processing for approximately 250 employees
  • Assist with the payroll process from start to finish, including timesheets, earnings, deductions, and final payment release
  • Maintain employee files
  • Monitor and report employee leave records
  • Assist in drafting employee contracts
  • Handle payroll queries from staff
  • Prepare payments of monthly company contributions
  • Prepare and reconcile month-end payments
  • Compare payroll ED balances with finance general ledger balances
  • Liaise with the Finance department on discrepancies before month-end closure
