What you’ll do / learn
You’ll complete structured learning and workplace training activities aligned to your chosen trade, with assessments and compliance requirements typical of mining technical training programmes.

- Complete structured training toward a QCTO occupational qualification (trade-specific)
- Receive formal training at the accredited training centre in Randfontein
- Complete on-the-job training at Venetia Mine and build practical workplace competence
- Participate in psychometric and technical assessments (where required)
- Meet safety, medical fitness and background verification requirements linked to working on mine
Eligibility requirements
Meet at least one of the minimum entry routes below, then confirm the subject requirements for your chosen trade.
- Route 1 (Matric): Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy), Physical Science, and English with a minimum 40% pass in all subjects
- Route 2 (N2): N2 with 4 subjects relevant to the trade
- Route 3 (NCV): NCV Level 3 with at least 40% in Mathematics and all other relevant subjects

- Instrument Mechanician: Engineering Science; Industrial Electronics; Instrument Trade Theory
