Duties and responsibilities
- Assist in operating and maintaining water and wastewater reticulation systems.
- Support installation, repair and maintenance of water pipelines and sewer networks.
- Assist with detecting and reporting leaks, blockages and pipe bursts.
- Participate in meter reading and basic meter maintenance.
- Monitor water pressure and flow within the distribution system.
- Assist with excavation, pipe laying and reinstatement of affected areas.
- Support routine inspections of valves, hydrants and manholes.
- Adhere to occupational health and safety procedures at all times.
