Key Responsibilities
- Participate in structured workplace learning aligned to the selected engineering trade stream.
- Follow workplace safety rules, procedures, and operational standards within a mining environment.
- Complete practical tasks and on-the-job training under guidance of qualified teams.
- Attend and complete any required learnership assessments, logbook activities, and training interventions.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and professional conduct throughout the programme.

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum entry requirements (must meet at least one):
- Matric with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy), Physical Science, and English (minimum 40% pass in each), OR
- N2 or higher, with four (4) subjects passed, including Mathematics and Engineering Science, plus trade-specific subjects, OR
- NCV Level 4 in the appropriate trade with all subjects passed (minimum 40%).
Trade-specific subject requirements (as applicable):
- Boilermaker: Plating/Welders Theory and Plating Structural & Steelwork Drawings
- Electrical: Electrical Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings
- Diesel Mechanic: Diesel or Motor Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings
- Mechanical Fitter: Fitting Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings
- Instrument Mechanician: Instrument Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics
- Auto Electrician: Motor Electrical Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics
- Millwright: Electrical and Fitting Trade Theories, Engineering Drawings or Industrial Electronics
