Transnet Corporate Centre is offering a Work Integrated Learner (Technical) opportunity in Saldanha, Western Cape under its Youth Development function. This 12-month Work Integrated Learning (WIL) trainee programme provides practical workplace exposure, mentorship, and hands-on training to help students and recent graduates apply their academic learning in a real working environment and improve employability.

Key Responsibilities
- Task Execution
- Assist with specific projects within a department or work-stream.
- Perform routine operational tasks under supervision.
- Support administrative functions including documentation and reporting.
- Learning & Development
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programmes.
- Shadow experienced professionals to gain practical insights.
- Engage in problem-solving activities to develop analytical skills.
- Communication & Collaboration
- Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to understand business needs.
- Provide updates on assigned tasks and project progress.
- Serve as a contact point for queries and assistance where required.
- Research & Analysis
- Conduct data collection and analysis to support business decisions.
- Prepare reports and presentations using MS Office tools.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives.
- Compliance & Safety
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional standards.

Eligibility Criteria
- Matric certificate.
- S4–S5 completed (all theoretical coursework) in one of the following disciplines:
- Electronics
- Electrical (Heavy Current)
- Mechanical
- South African citizen.
- Aged 18–35.
- No bursary obligation with another company.
- Preference will be given to People with Disability.
- Must provide proof documents:
- Confirmation/letter from institution (most recent)
- Certified Matric certificate
- Academic record
- Certified ID
