This internship offers a unique opportunity for a recent graduate to gain valuable experience in operational processes, data analysis, and compliance monitoring within one of South Africa’s leading retail groups. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations and Risk teams to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in store processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse data from Group Audit to assess legislative and store compliance.
  • Drive risk KPIs by identifying, reporting, and distributing key store risk issues.
  • Educate field staff on risk mitigation to promote compliance and operational excellence.
  • Support the process administrator in drafting and updating store policies and procedures.
  • Extract and analyse weekly and monthly Yoobic Health Check missions.
  • Monitor store banking timelines and variances, providing feedback to management.
  • Ensure OHASA compliance documentation is signed by all relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update various risk trackers, including HANIS, banking, store initiatives, and legislative certificates.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on store risk management.
  • Compile general process documents and reports as required.
  • Foster strong internal relationships to enhance service delivery and process improvement.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Relevant Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in line with the Employment Equity Act.
