Shoprite is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Buyers Assistant to join the Non-Foods: Hardware category. The successful candidate will support the Buyer and Buying team with operational and administrative tasks related to procurement, product listing, and order management, helping ensure commercial objectives are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Capture and update buying-related data and retail pricing with high accuracy
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and product listings
- Support stores with query resolutions (e.g., barcode issues, mispicks)
- Quality-check system data related to costs, pack sizes, and pricing
- Assist with product ranging, deranging, markdowns, and stock availability
- Liaise with planners, suppliers, and replenishment teams
- Maintain accurate supplier records and documentation
- Prepare reports and track performance against KPIs
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 1+ year of relevant administrative or buying support experience
- Exposure to a retail buying environment
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel with formulas)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Desired: Experience with SAP Buying or Retail systems
