Eligibility Criteria

• Must have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with strong numerical skills
• Must have at least 1-2 years of experience in the bakery industry within an FMCG environment

Required Skills & Competencies

• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
• Strong attention to detail and a keen sense of urgency
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Self-motivated with good organisational skills
• Basic understanding of food safety, health, and safety practices
• Experience with administration and record control in a warehouse setting is a plus

Duties & Responsibilities

• Stacking and Packaging:
  • Stack crates with bread from transfer cages following the pipeline stacking sequence
  • Ensure that quality bread is correctly packed on trays
  • Remove damaged stock from shelves as per standard procedures
• Stock Management & Reporting:
  • Attend daily inventory communications (invocoms) and report stacking-related issues to warehouse supervisors
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to stock movements

• Compliance & Housekeeping:
  • Adhere to all company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and health & safety regulations
  • Ensure that the despatch area is kept clean, orderly, and compliant with food safety standards
• Operational Support:
  • Work on a rotational shift basis, including Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and overtime as required
  • Work until the last truck is completed in despatch, ensuring all tasks are finished efficiently
