This initiative forms part of Momentum’s Youth Development Strategy and aims to provide practical work experience across various business areas while supporting youth employability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain exposure to different departments within Momentum Investments (HR, Finance, IT, Marketing, Operations, Client Services, etc.)
  • Learn on-the-job by participating in day-to-day business operations
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, take initiative, and accept feedback to improve performance
  • Represent the organisation professionally while upholding Momentum’s values
  • Engage in professional and personal development activities, including teamwork, communication, and problem-solving

Eligibility Criteria

  • South African citizen aged 18–25 years
  • Unemployed at the time of application
  • First-time participant in the YES Programme
  • Relevant qualifications:
    • Finance, Accounting, Tax, Audit
    • IT, Data Analytics, Data Science, Python, SQL, AI, Project Management, Business Intelligence
    • Investment Management
    • LLB
    • Learning & Development, HR, Skills Development, Industrial Psychology
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Competencies & Skills

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate information, identify patterns, and solve problems
  • Business Acumen: Understand and make sound judgments about different business areas
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication
  • Self-Starter: Proactive and motivated to learn and complete tasks
