Kimberly-Clark is recruiting a Quality Learner In-Service Trainee (Fixed Term Contract) for its Enstra Mill. The role supports the quality team by performing product and process verifications, testing against set standards, and confirming that operator self-controls are in place and working effectively within an FMCG production environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) rules and regulations at all times.
- Perform testing and verifications using set standards to identify product quality defects.
- Verify results are within specification and act/escalate when results are out of specification.
- Analyse quality data and trends to support decisions with the operations team and escalate when required.
- Complete all required training within expected timeframes and take responsibility for personal development.
- Conduct quality verifications at RFP (as stated).
- Maintain acceptable 5S housekeeping standards in the laboratories.
- Conduct routine product inspections to verify that operator self-controls are functioning (per schedule).
- Perform specialist low-frequency testing as required.
- Identify raw material defects and rejects, including on-the-floor verification of NCRs raised by operations.
- Communicate defects to operating crews so corrective action can be taken.
- Ensure defective production is held and records are kept.
- Check centre lining activities and report non-conformances.
- Communicate with outgoing counterpart during shift handover.
Attributes Required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow set quality standards.
- Comfortable working with laboratory/testing equipment and routine inspections.
- Able to analyse data/trends and communicate findings clearly to operations teams.
- Safety-focused with willingness to comply with strict EHS requirements.
- Willingness to learn, complete training, and develop in a performance-driven environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum: National Diploma / NQF Level 6 (preferably in Quality or Pulp & Paper).
- Must be computer literate.
- Advantage: Minimum 1 year of experience (preferably in an FMCG environment).
- Basic knowledge of laboratory and testing equipment.
- Must already be authorised to work in the country (no relocation support).
