Cashbuild is looking for a General Assistants to deliver excellent in-store customer service, support merchandising and housekeeping activities, and ensure compliance with safety standards. This role is suitable for external candidates only.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service:
- Advise and assist customers with product enquiries
- Resolve customer complaints effectively
- Merchandising Standards:
- Merchandise stock safely according to the store layout and planograms
- Ensure that bulk stock areas are organised and accessible
- Housekeeping:
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area
- Complete required checklists for canteen and toilet/showers schedules
- Safety (OHSA) Requirements:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of protective gear
- Report any discrepancies to the Store Manager
- Stock Management:
- Report damaged stock to the Store Manager
- General Duties:
- Achieve set targets and complete tasks accurately
- Identify and resolve issues within the framework of company policies
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Eligibility & Requirements
- Education:
- Minimum Grade 10 (NQF 3) with at least one year of work-related experience, or Grade 12 without related work experience
- Skills & Attributes:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language
- Competence in performing basic calculations accurately
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Other Requirements:
- Must possess a valid South African ID or work permit
