This entry-level programme supports technicians with inspections, basic troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and admin on heavy earthmoving equipment while you build practical workshop exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist technicians with inspecting heavy earthmoving equipment.
  • Support basic troubleshooting, testing, maintenance and repairs.
  • Help remove and install components in workshop or at customer sites.
  • Assist with ordering parts and tracking returns.
  • Support service administration (reports, labour booking, expenses, parts returns).
  • Contribute to accurate customer machine analyses and Machine Inspection Reports (MIR).
  • Maintain good housekeeping and provide general customer support.

  • Physically able to work in workshop/field environments.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Grade 12 / N3 with Pure Mathematics (≥45%), English (≥45%) and Physical Science (≥45%).
  • N2 / N3 with relevant theory advantageous (Motor/Diesel and/or Electrical/Electronic).
  • “Technicians for the World” certificate advantageous.
  • Code B Learner’s Licence advantageous.
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
