Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Assist customers with product selection, resolve queries, and handle complaints.
  • Merchandising: Ensure stock is safely merchandised according to store layout and planograms.
  • Housekeeping: Keep aisles clear, maintain shelf price labeling, and complete daily checklists.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to OHSA regulations, ensure stock safety, and report discrepancies.
  • Stock Management: Report damaged stock to the Store Manager.
  • Performance & Productivity: Meet targets, ensure accuracy, and follow through on commitments.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Identify and resolve issues, escalate when needed.
  • Work Planning & Handling Pressure: Plan tasks effectively and perform well under pressure.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Assist customers and colleagues, manage conflicts, and communicate effectively.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Minimum Grade 10 (NQF 3) with 1 year of related experience OR
  • Grade 12 with no work experience.

Experience:

  • No prior experience required for candidates with Grade 12.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
  • Valid South African ID or work permit.
  • Basic numerical skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
