Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients upon arrival with professionalism and warmth.
  • Manage patient appointments, confirmations, and scheduling adjustments.
  • Handle inquiries regarding products, services, and medical aid procedures.
  • Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process payments and medical aid claims, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support optometrists and team members in daily administrative operations.
  • Assist customers in selecting eyewear, explaining frame styles and lens options.
  • Maintain stock displays and ensure the front office and waiting areas remain neat and organized.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction through effective communication and service excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (Matric).
  • Experience: Previous customer service, receptionist, or administrative experience preferred; experience in optometry, medical, or retail settings advantageous.
  • Skills: Computer literacy, knowledge of optical products, and familiarity with medical aid procedures are advantageous.
  • Availability: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
