The Learnership Opportunity

Our Learnership 18.2 programme is designed to empower you with the competencies needed to oversee safe and efficient blasting and other mining activities in an underground environment.

Minimum Qualifications Required

To be considered for this learnership, we’re looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 with an equivalent NQF Educational Certificate, a stepping stone to the Blasting Certificate programme.
  • Psychometric evaluation outcome score of 3 or higher.
  • Medical fitness as determined by a risk-based medical examination.
  • Local community members are strongly encouraged to apply.

Advantageous Qualifications

While the above are our minimum requirements, the following qualifications will give you an edge:

  • Applicants with Pure Mathematics and English in Grade 12.
  • Highest aggregate in Pure Mathematics and English in Grade 12.
  • Psychometric evaluation outcome score of 4 or higher.

Our Learnership 18.2 programme is designed to empower you with the competencies needed to excel in rigging and ropesmanship.

This is your opportunity to become an essential part of a vital industry.

Minimum Qualifications Required

To be considered for this learnership, we’re looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • N2 qualification with 4 relevant subjects for the Rigger Trade.
  • Recommended based on interview outcomes.
  • Achieve a psychometric evaluation outcome score of 4 or higher.
  • Medical fitness as determined by a risk-based medical examination.
  • Obtain a Protection Services certificate.

Additional Requirements

While the minimum qualifications are important, here are some additional requirements that will enhance your application:

  • Successful completion of an interview and psychometric assessment.
  • All entry requirement outcomes will be considered before applicants are recommended.
  • Complete the online application form.
  • Upload a Record of Service, CV, certified copies of ID, qualifications, and statement of results for the discipline applied for.
  • Applicants with a Section 28 or 26D Trade certificates will not be considered, including those who have previously completed another Learnership.
