Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customer payments and balance sales and receipts in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to provide accurate advice to customers.
  • Restock shelves and ensure the sales floor is organised according to merchandising standards.
  • Conduct regular price audits and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process payments via the store’s Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Maintain awareness of current promotions and special offers.
  • Ensure compliance with visual merchandising and housekeeping standards.
  • Address customer queries promptly and escalate when necessary.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 months’ experience at a point of sale or till point in a retail environment.
    • Experience in retail sales and customer service.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in basic computer applications.
    • Knowledge of stock handling and merchandising processes.
    • Understanding of payment procedures (cash, card, vouchers, etc.).
    • Bilingual (preferably fluent in Afrikaans and English).
