Location: Pinetown office, with occasional travel to clients in and around Durban.

Article Terms: 3 years for candidates with a SAICA accredited Bachelors Degree in Accounting, and 5 years for candidates still studying towards the degree.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications:

• SAICA accredited Bachelors Degree in Accounting (candidates currently studying towards the degree will be offered a 5-year article term).
• CTA (Certificate in the Theory of Accounting) or currently studying toward CTA/SAICA accredited post-graduate equivalent is preferable.

Skills/Experience:

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Adaptability to technology and work environment.
• Accounting experience is preferred but not required.
• Caseware experience is preferred but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a trainee at C&S Chartered Accountants Inc, your training contract will focus on external auditing. You will be responsible for:

• Performing external audits for a diverse range of clients.
• Engaging with clients through various channels, including phone, in-person meetings, and email.
• Traveling to clients’ premises when necessary.
