The role supports production and dispatch readiness by packing cooled product accurately, ensuring correct labelling and date verification, maintaining housekeeping standards, and complying with food safety and workplace safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Pack cooled products into crates according to required sizes and quantities.
- Pack crates onto pallets for storage/dispatch readiness.
- Verify Best Before dates and label stickers for accuracy and compliance.
- Check daily production planning to confirm packing requirements on the line.
- Remove completed, defective, or non-conforming products/materials as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in the work area.
- Participate in company safety programmes and comply with established safety guidelines.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including PPE compliance and confined-space safety where applicable.
- Report food safety and food quality issues to management immediately.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Work shifts as required.
Attributes Required
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy (dates, labels, quantities).
- Safety- and quality-conscious, able to follow GMP and PPE requirements.
- Reliable and able to work efficiently in a production environment.
- Good communicator and team player.
- Comfortable working shifts and maintaining consistent output standards.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 (or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge/competence in:
- Written and verbal communication
- Storage area control
- Safety, Health and Environmental practices
- Cycle counting and reconciliation
- Stock rotation (FIFO)
