The programme is designed to provide learners with the necessary theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and workplace experience to perform effectively as Procurement Officers.

Programme Offerings
- Position: Procurement Officer NQF Level 5 Learnership Programme (x10) – 18 Months
- Location: Rietvlei Site, Glenvista, Gauteng, South Africa
- Contract Type: 18-Month Learnership

Eligibility Criteria
- Must not be employed
- Must not be enrolled at any institution or registered for any other learnership
- Must not have completed any post-matric qualification (failure to disclose will lead to disqualification)
- Must have Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics Literacy and English (minimum Level 4 in all subjects)
- SAQA/NLRD verification report required (available on SAQA website)
- Must be a South African citizen with a valid SA ID
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old

Additional Requirements for People with Disabilities (PWDs):
- Deaf or hard-of-hearing applicants must provide their own interpreters
- Proof of disability (doctor’s certificate or signed ITRDD13 form) must be included
Primary Duties
- Develop and implement procurement schedules
- Manage procurement relationships and contracts
- Monitor and evaluate procurement performance
Responsibilities During the Learnership:
- Attend and participate in classroom sessions
- Engage in class activities and discussions
- Complete required assignments and projects
- Write assessments and log practical experience

- Knowledge: Understanding of Rand Water’s mandate and role in the water sector
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication
- Attitude: Self-motivated and results-driven
