Location: Three Rivers East, Vereeniging, Gauteng, South Africa

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or NTC3 in welding.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in a welding workshop environment.
  • Successful completion of a Trade Test Certificate (Welder Artisan) is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid Code B or C driver’s license is beneficial.

Primary Duties

Your primary responsibilities as an Artisan Assistant Welding will include:

  • Assisting the Artisan in various welding tasks involved in the maintenance, manufacturing, and installation of structural equipment.
  • Identifying and handling welding equipment and tools.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workshop, ensuring proper care of tools and equipment.
  • Conducting minor welding repairs when necessary.

Knowledge

You should possess the following knowledge:

  • Welding techniques and practices.
  • Basic safety knowledge and adherence to safe working procedures.
  • General maintenance principles.

Skills

The following skills are essential for this role:

  • Ability to perform minor welding repairs.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Competence in completing job cards.
  • Understanding of welding work instructions and procedures.
