Your Role as a Digital Marketing Intern
As a Digital Marketing Intern, you’ll be at the forefront of executing and implementing various digital marketing and social media campaigns.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
1. Creative Content Development
You’ll get to create and develop creative and copy assets for digital and social media channels, showcasing your creative talents.
2. Digital Platform Maintenance
You’ll assist in maintaining the hygiene of digital platforms, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
This includes tasks like refreshing links and handling queries.
3. Social Media Monitoring and Reporting
You’ll co-own the social media marketing monitoring and reporting process. Your input will contribute to both local and global reporting efforts.
4. Competitor Audits and Sector Trends
You’ll be responsible for regularly updating competitor audits and analyzing broader trends in the education sector.
This insight is crucial for staying competitive.
Your Qualifications and Skills
To thrive in this internship, you’ll need the following qualifications and skills:
- Education: Enrolled in BCom, BTech, BSocSci, or BA with a keen interest in marketing subjects.
- Passion for Education: An interest in the education sector and a belief in the power of education to transform lives.
- South African Citizenship: You should be a South African citizen.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in computer use is a must.
- Communication Skills: Excellent writing and strong communication skills are essential.
- Design Skills: Experience with design tools like CANVA.
- Tech Understanding: A basic understanding of website development and coding is a plus.
- Marketing Experience: Any previous practical experience in a marketing environment or related function would be advantageous.
