Key Responsibilities
- Assist journeymen in the Bindery Department with machine setup and operation.
- Perform changeovers, make-ready, and material feeding on binding machines.
- Gather, stack, and pack printed materials accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.
- Support maintenance activities and ensure adherence to all health and safety protocols.
- Participate in ad-hoc operational and support tasks as required.
Attributes Required
- Technically inclined with an interest in the printing or manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in a demanding production setting.
- Safety-conscious and attentive to detail.
- Willingness to work shifts, long hours, and weekends when necessary.
- Punctual, dependable, and proactive in improving work processes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a bindery or FMCG production environment.
- Advantageous:
- Folding and guillotine skills.
- Forklift licence.
- Basic computer literacy.
