NERSA Internship and Learnership Opportunities: Your Path to Career Development

The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) is paving the way for young talents through its Internship and Learnership Programmes.

These initiatives are aimed at providing valuable work experience and fostering skill development among unemployed graduates.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Twelve (12) Months Internship/Learnership Programmes, applicants must:

  • Have completed a National Diploma/Diploma (NQF 6), Bachelor’s Degree/B Tech Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7), Postgraduate Diploma/Honours Degree (NQF 8), or Master’s Degree (NQF 9) at a South African University.
  • Be an unemployed South African citizen.

Available Opportunities

NERSA is seeking interns and learners with the right competencies in various departments. Here are the areas and qualifications needed:

1. Legal Advisory Services (LAS2024)

  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Law.

2. Information Communication Technology (ICT2024)

  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) or National Diploma (NQF 6) in Information Technology.

3. Information Resource Management (IMR2024)

  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Information Science.

4. Communication and Stakeholder Management (CSM2024)

  • Bachelor’s Degree/B Tech Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Communication/Public Relations/Marketing/Journalism.

5. Human Resources Management Internship (HRM2024)

  • Bachelor’s Degree/B Tech Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) or National Diploma (NQF 6) in Human Resources Management.

6. Internal Audit Unit (IAU2024)

  • Bachelor’s Degree/B Tech Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) or National Diploma (NQF 6) in Auditing.
